Geography will have inspired and educated a new generation of environmental stewards around the world.
Communities will be equipped with sustainable to understand and collaborative solve community problems. Community members will be empowered to draw on these tools in other work in the future.
We will complete a circumnavigation of the Southern Hemisphere, departing from the Environmental Systmes Research Institute (ESRI) user conference in San Diego August 2007.
The GIS Institute is a thriving organization. It is well funded, extremely professional and unparalleled at working internationally to create community and support adventure and service, work and learning.
Our Goals…
Help international conservation groups meet their goals though GIS training and project assistance.
Use the experience and data gained in assisting conservation groups, to provide geography, technology, and social studies curriculum to K-12 teachers and students worldwide.
Connect the communities we encounter to each other, and to all people who share this interest.
