We connect climate, conservation, and geotechnology, to support the sum of human knowledge

sm_glassWe Serve: We seek out critical climate-related projects, where a GIS role is underfunded, non existent, or perhaps has never been attempted. We volunteer, we work, and we enjoy doing it. This year, our work takes us to projects in Southern California, to understand the volume and movement of plastics in ocean gyres, and to Belize, where we are collecting baseline GIS data on Lighthouse Reef, to asses climate-related changes in both the terrestrial mangrove forests, and the corals of the Meso-American Reef System. We Learn: We learn about the challenges in our projects on the fly – we configure gear, develop new strategies, try new tactics, and we take action together with our partners and beneficiaries. We are more prepared with each new experience. When possible, we create GIS-related lessons for the K-12 Community from our work.

Cheetah's photos 008_resizeWe provide GIS Training: Our course experiences are much more than just a GIS Training class – they are inspiring events, designed to motivate and uplift the spirit. We take all the experience gathered from years of education, GIS work, adventuring, and travel, then condense it into GIS Training classes that will help any individual with a GIS learning goal. Our current flagship training class was donated by Jack Dangermond, president of ESRI, and reconfigured to support GIS learning by climate scientists, conservationists, resource managers, and professionals of any discipline.
